Many benefit claimants will be paid on different dates to usual over the bank holiday weekend.
Due to the four-day weekend to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, some claimants' payment dates will be moved forward. Because there are two bank holidays on consecutive days, benefit payments may not happen on their usual day.
Buckingham Palace has confirmed both Thursday, June 2, and Friday, June 3, will be bank holidays as the Queen celebrates 70 years on the throne. This means that any state payments normally due on those days will have to be moved to another date. It all depends on which particular benefits you receive and when they usually land in your bank account.

When will I be paid?
Anyone whose payments would have normally arrived on a Thursday or Friday or on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th of a month will instead get the money on Wednesday, June 1.
Which benefits are affected?
It said these advanced payments apply to the following benefits:
- Universal Credit
- Child Tax Credits
- Working Tax Credits
- Child Benefit
- Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- Carer’s Allowance
- Attendance Allowance
- Pension Credit
Disability Living Allowance is paid on a Tuesday so it won't be affected by these changes.
