Queen's Park line up Crystal Palace transfer as Selhurst Park talent 'set' for Spiders move

Queen's Park are 'set' to secure the services of Crystal Palace talent Malachi Boateng on a season-long loan move.

Boss Owen Coyle has been gearing his side up for a crack at the Scottish Championship this season and they started their campaign with a 1-1 draw at Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday. Recruits are still able to be made until September 1st and it's reported by The Sun that Boateng is to arrive from Crystal Palace and bolster their ranks.

A defensive midfielder, the 20-year-old has yet to feature for the Premier League club's senior side but has captained their elite U23s side at Selhurst Park. It would be a further addition for Coyle in a summer where the likes of Grant Savoury, Dom Thomas and Josh McPake have all arrived to play football at Ochilview this season. The Queen's manager is pleased that his side are off the mark with a point in the Highlands.

"It sets us up for our first home game and we can't wait to get back to our real home. I need to say a big thanks to the fans who came to this."
