Queen's great-grandchildren spotted playing in carriages while royals watch on

Adorable footage has emerged of what appears to show the Queen's great grandchildren sitting in a horse-drawn carriage at Windsor Castle.

The video has been circulating on social media and shows the youngsters sitting on a horse-drawn carriage in the castle's Quadrangle.

It's difficult to make out exactly which of the Queen's 12 great grandchildren are on the carriage but Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis all appear to be there.

Standing to the right of the carriage appears to be their mum the Duchess of Cambridge, while Princess Eugenie holds on to her young son August's hands as he toddles around on the grass.

Princess Beatrice's husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi also appears to be taking photos of the carriage, while a dog can also be seen running underneath the carriage.

One of the Twitter accounts that posted the footage, The Cambridges News wrote: "So excited!!! The Queen's great grandchildren at Windsor Castle!!! For sure we will have a new portrait for Platinum Jubilee. This will be awesome.

"Or maybe they are practicing in the carriage for Trooping the Colour? What do you all think?"

According to the Telegraph, the three Cambridge children will all take a “visible” part in the Jubilee celebrations, which are set to take place in June.

The publication says fans could look forward to them taking part in carriage rides at Trooping the Colour.

Louis, the youngest of the three who turned four at the weekend, is now the same age as his dad when he first rode in a carriage at Trooping the Colour in 1987 alongside his mum Princess Diana and great grandmother the Queen Mother.
