Peter Andre has opened up about how the Queen's funeral left him thinking of his eldery mum Thea in Australia.
The Mysterious Girl singer recently told how his beloved 86-year-old mum is 'suffering and declining' as she gets older.
And now Peter has confessed his sadness after Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral brought up some very raw feelings.
Writing in his OK! column, the 49-year-old penned how he thought Her Majesty's passing brought up thoughts for many people who have lost loved ones or who have elderly relatives.
He then opened up about his own mum, writing: "I, like many, can relate with my beautiful mother being older and unwell.”
He explained: “Emily took Millie, Theo and Princess into London on the day of The Queen’s funeral. Although they weren’t able to see the procession, they soaked up the atmosphere.
“They said it was so busy yet there was such a calmness and Emily said the two-minute silence and singing God Save The King gave her goosebumps.
“Millie and Theo don’t fully understand what has happened but Emily felt it was very important for them to experience it and be a part of history.
“It took me back to when we were sadly losing my brother Andrew and I wouldn’t let Junior or Princess see him at the end.
“I just didn’t want them to see him like that and be hurting, but I did explain he was no longer with us.
“During the Queen’s funeral many spoke about how it brought up thoughts of loved ones they have lost or are elderly.
“I, like many, can relate with my beautiful mother being older and unwell. What I got from this incredible moment in history is how united the Great British public are.
“It made me really proud and left me with a lump in my throat. Her Majesty was loved and will be missed by millions.”
Peter, who shares Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, with ex-wife Katie Price and Amelia, eight, and Theodore, five, with his doctor spouse Emily MacDonagh, recently admitted his mum is 'struggling'.
And the former pop star has last week revealed his plans to move his family to Australia 'for as long as possible' after he finishes his work commitments.
The Mysterious Girl singer is currently performing on stage as Teen Angel in Grease and filming for his upcoming movie.
"If it all goes to plan, it'll be December and we'll all be going to Oz as a family," Peter said in his column for new magazine.
"We want to get out there as soon as we can and stay for as long as possible, but it's tricky with the kids' school," the dad admitted.
He added: "They have different timings, which makes it complicated."
Peter was raised in Australia by his Greek Cypriot parents before relocating to the UK after finding fame as a 90s pop star.
The singer still holds the country close to his heart and has a holiday home Down Under which he spends time at in the summer months.
He returned to Australia in March to see his mum and it looks like he’s set to spend some more time with his elderly parents soon as he plans to move his family to the other side of the world.
