Queen's cousin taking part in Bear Grylls' Treasure Island moans 'cash is always tight'

Even on a remote Pacific island without a bank or shopping mall in sight, money is still the root of all evil.

That's what 12 Brits discover in this remixed version of the hit survival show, The Island.

They're marooned for 35 days on a beautiful but brutal isle in Bear Grylls new Treasure Island.

Here they must battle each other to claim £100,000.

The cash is dropped by helicopter in bundles across the island.

However, in a delicious twist, the new islanders must decide whether to share the fortune – or keep it all to themselves.

Bear Grylls was shocked by the greed of the contestants.

He says: ‘Parachuting the money in was like dropping grenades on the island.

'People’s values change when they’re dazzled by cash.’
