The Queen's birthday honours list has been revealed, and some famous and notable Bristolians are among those being honoured. Judd Trump, the Bristol-born snooker player, becomes an MBE for his services to charity and snooker, for example.
The 32-year-old became the world champion in 2019. In the 2019/20 season, he set a new record for winning the most ranking titles in a single season.
He has also won plaudits of late for speaking of his concern for the sport's future if it does not attract younger generations. He becomes a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
