The Queen will miss the royal garden party season and be represented by other members of the royal family, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.
A number of garden parties take place at Royal Palaces each summer, though they have not been held for the past two years due to the covid pandemic. It has now been revealed that the parties will return for 2022, but that the Queen will not be attending.
A spokesman said: "Her Majesty the Queen will be represented by other members of the royal family at this year's garden parties, with details on attendance to be confirmed in due course."

In four weeks' time, the Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee - an incredible 70 years on the throne. There will be a special four-day bank holiday starting from Thursday June 2 through to Sunday June 5.
Celebrations will include the 96-year-old monarch opening her private estates to the public, and some of the world's biggest stars performing outside Buckingham Palace.
If this isn't reason enough to celebrate then UK residents will be even more overjoyed to learn that pubs will be remaining open for longer during this time so the drinks can keep flowing. The government have confirmed that pubs will be able to stay open two hours later than normal.
