The 77-year-old musician shared the news in a video on his website, reassuring fans that he was 'OK' but under medical advice to avoid activities that could elevate his heart rate.
May expressed gratitude for being able to play the guitar again following the health scare, which occurred about a week ago. Describing the incident as 'a little scary,' he highlighted the sudden loss of control over his arm due to the stroke.
The guitarist commended the exceptional care he received from his local hospital in Surrey, located southwest of London. Despite the ordeal, May humorously requested that well-wishers refrain from sending sympathy messages to avoid cluttering his inbox.
May, along with Queen drummer Roger Taylor, has continued to perform following the passing of the band's iconic frontman Freddie Mercury in 1991. The band's enduring legacy and musical contributions have solidified their place in rock history.
