The Queen has given the green light to a new book about the years covering Megxit and Prince Philip's death.
Her Majesty has entrusted her close aide to reveal her Covid lockdown secrets in a publication that will coincide with Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir.
Royal dresser Angela Kelly will document the past three years inside the Royal Family - covering one of the most difficult periods in the Queen's life.
Mrs Kelly, who has worked closely with Her Majesty for almost 30 years, will tell of 'HMS Bubble' - the unofficial name of the Queen's support group during lockdown in Windsor.
The in-depth tales will come in a new edition of The Other Side of the Coin, first published in 2019.
The updated version will be released next month to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, publisher HarperCollins has announced.
The company confirmed: “The Queen personally gave Angela her blessing to share their unparalleled bond with the world and Angela is the first serving member of the Royal Household to be given this extraordinary permission.”
The book is also set to show how the aide cut and set the Queen’s hair, as well as offer an insight into the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral almost a year ago.
HarperNonFiction publishing director Katya Shipster said: “We wanted to commemorate the extraordinary occasion of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with this beautiful new edition, as well as bring the content of the book right up to date following the unprecedented events of the past two years.
“It tells the story of the royal bubble, as well as the lengths Angela and the Royal Household went to, to ensure the safety of our Monarch.”
Buckingham Palace is also braced for Prince Harry 's new book, which is due out later this year.
The Duke has set his sights on dad Charles and Camilla and will deepen the rift with brother William in his new memoir, a royal author has claimed.
Harry, who lives with Meghan and their two children in California, is understood to have received a £15million advance for the book.
Ex-Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown claims the Duke of Sussex "can't stand" his father's second wife and doesn't want her to be Queen.
She told the Sun he will "go after" the royal couple in the explosive book, and claimed that his relationship with William is "very bad".
