The public have been gathering in their millions across the UK to pay their respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The state funeral will take place next week on Monday, September 19 at 11am with the public told they will be able to see the Queen's coffin ahead of the funeral.
The coffin is currently in Scotland with it set to make its way to London to allow others to also pay their respects.

These are the key events that will take place in the lead up to the funeral.
Queen's coffin to be moved to St Giles' Cathedral, September 12
- The Queen's coffin will be taken from the Palace of Holyroodhouse, where it remained overnight, to St Giles' Cathedral where it will remain for 24 hours
- Mourners will then be able to pay their respects and view the coffin from 5pm until 3pm the following day
- A service to celebrate the Queen's life will also be held in the capital today at 3pm at St Giles’ Cathedral
- Later, King Charles III will travel to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and meet with Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon where the Ceremony of the Keys will take place
The King will inspect the Guard of Honour before being welcomed to his “ancient and hereditary kingdom of Scotland” by the Lord Provost, and symbolically receiving the keys of the city of Edinburgh
Following the Ceremony of the Keys, the King will join the procession of the Queen’s coffin to St Giles’ Cathedral at around 2:35pm
- The King will then hold a vigil after 5pm with other Royal Family members at St Giles' Cathedral

Queen's coffin to leave Scotland, September 13
- The Queen's coffin will be moved from St Giles' Cathedral to Edinburgh Airport where it will then be taken by plane to RAF Northolt at around 6pm with the Princess Royal, Princess Anne, accompanying her
- Once departed from Scotland, the coffin is expected to arrive in London just before 7pm
- King Charles III and Camilla will visit Belfast on this day with the BBC reporting that they will meet with Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Chris Heaton-Harris MP, as well as other party leaders
- Following this meeting, the Royal couple will then attend a prayer service at St Anne's Cathedral before returning to London
- Meanwhile, the Queen's coffin will make its way to Buckingham Palace where it will be met by King Charles III and Camilla
Queen's coffin to arrive at Westminster Hall, September 14
- On this day, the coffin will leave Buckingham Palace and will arrive at Westminster Hall around 2pm
According to the BBC, crowds will be able to watch as the cortege makes the journey through central London along Queen's Gardens, The Mall, Horse Guards and Horse Guards Arch, Whitehall, Parliament Street, Parliament Square and New Palace Yard
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, will then conduct a short service attended by King Charles and other members of the Royal Family before the Hall is opened to the public
The coffin will be adorned with the Imperial State Crown and carried on a gun carriage of The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery. The King and members of the Royal family will walk behind in a journey that will take 38 minutes
- The coffin will then lie in state on a raised platform surrounded by guards for four days until the day of the state funeral on September 19
- Members of the public wishing to pay their respects will be able to do so from 5pm onwards until 6:30pm on the day of her funeral with the Hall expected to stay open 24 hours a day
Coffin to lie in state until funeral, September 15 - September 19
- The Queen's coffin will lie in state in Westminster Hall until the day of the state funeral on September 19
- During this time, King Charles III and Camilla will travel to Wales to complete their visit to all four nations as he takes on his new role
State Funeral, September 19
- The Queen's funeral will take place on this day will millions expected to turn up and pay their respects to the late monarch
- This day will also mark a public Bank Holiday
- The lying in state will end and the coffin will then be taken in procession to Westminster Abbey, where the funeral will take place at 11am
- The funeral will be televised
After the funeral, the Queen's coffin will travel in procession from the Abbey to Wellington Arch where it will then travel to Windsor
The state hearse will then take the coffin along the Long Walk to St George's Chapel in Windsor Chapel where a committal service will take place
