Queen Camilla Takes Break From Royal Duties For Rest

The Royal Family

Queen Camilla is currently taking a break from her royal duties, following a period of intense caregiving for her husband, King Charles, who is undergoing cancer treatment. This break is a scheduled week of private time for the Queen, which she typically takes around this time of year, according to palace sources. It is important to note that her break is not related to King Charles' health.

Queen Camilla's next royal engagement is scheduled for March 11, where she will lead the family at Westminster Abbey for the annual Commonwealth Day service. King Charles is expected to deliver a video address during the service.

With Queen Camilla on break, three out of the four most senior members of the royal family are currently out of the public eye. King Charles has reduced his public duties due to his ongoing cancer treatment, while Princess Kate is still recovering from abdominal surgery and is not expected to return to royal duties until after Easter.

Prince William, on the other hand, has resumed his royal duties after taking time off to support his wife during her recovery. He recently visited the Western Marble Arch Synagogue in London and had a series of engagements in Wales for St. David's Day.

Other members of the royal family, such as Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, are also expected to attend various engagements. Sophie made a video address in support of her campaign against sexual violence being used as a weapon of war, while investiture ceremonies recognizing community work are also taking place.
