Quayside hotel INNSiDE Newcastle has teamed up with a Geordie brewery to launch its own IPA - and drinkers will love its Toon-inspired can.
The popular venue has worked with Brinkburn Street Brewery in Byker to create its own 'Hazy Session IPA' to mark its first anniversary since opening in the city. But it's the unique can design that makes the drink stand out from the rest, featuring an illustration of 'Geordieland' by artist James Dixon from Lines Behind.
Newcastle landmarks including the Tyne Bridge and Grey's Monument feature on the can, alongside iconic Geordie references such as Shearer's Number 9 shirt, the Great North Run, and TV heroes Ant and Dec. The eye-catching design is a mini replica of the mural inside the hotel that was created by Lines Behind when the hotel launched in May 2021.
Since then, the 161 bedroom hotel that is joined with the Gino D’Acampo Quayside restaurant, is said to have welcomed a "number of celebrities and visiting sports teams."
Drinkers can now try the new IPA and take home the souvenir can by buying it from the INNSiDE Newcastle hotel kiosk.
