The Green Bay Packers might be down two starting defensive plays when Matt LaFleur’s team returns to the field for the second half on Monday night against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Linebacker Quay Walker left with a knee injury and is questionable to return. Safety Darnell Savage left with a calf injury and is questionable to return.
Buy Packers TicketsUPDATE: Savage returned to the field for the start of the second half.
SECOND UPDATE: Walker and Savage both ruled out for the rest of the game.
Walker ran off the field and was evaluated in the blue medical tent on the sideline. Savage limped off after attempting to jump a completed pass late in the half.
The Packers are already playing without starter De’Vondre Campbell at linebacker, leaving Isaiah McDuffie and Eric Wilson as the top two healthy options. Kristian Welch, a career special teamer, would be the only backup.
At safety, Jonathan Owens replaced Savage next to Rudy Ford. Rookie Anthony Johnson Jr. and Zayne Anderson are inactive, and Ford is playing through an oblique injury. Dallin Leavitt, another special teamer, is the lone available safety.
The Packers trail 10-3. Joe Barry’s defense gave up a long touchdown drive, which was capped off by a Jakobi Myers touchdown catch, and a Jordan Love interception handed the Raiders three easy points. The Raiders have more total yards, first downs and passing yards.
