The Seattle Seahawks earned themselves a black eye by the way they pushed Bobby Wagner out the door – whether it was an honest miscommunication or something else. One thing they could do to help repair that bridge is honor Wagner’s request and retire his No. 54, which he suggested in an interview with ESPN 710 AM earlier this week.
It seems he’s not the only one who thinks that’s a good idea. Free safety Quandre Diggs agrees nobody should wear that number.
Damn right! Nobody should wear 54! https://t.co/czPTBiDQid

With Wagner now playing for the Rams and all the other former Legion of Boomers gone, Diggs should be a top candidate to step up as the team’s next defensive captain. He just signed a three-year contract extension worth $40 million.
