At just 17 years old, Quan Hongchan has once again proven her dominance in the women's 10m platform diving event by successfully defending her Olympic title. The Chinese athlete showcased her exceptional skills by scoring a perfect 90-point dive on a forward 3½ somersaults pike, securing her place at the top of the podium.

In a closely contested final, Quan Hongchan edged out her compatriot Chen Yuxi to claim the gold medal. Chen Yuxi, who put up a strong performance, had to settle for the silver medal after Quan's superior final attempt.

Meanwhile, North Korea's Kim Mi-rae delivered a commendable performance to clinch the bronze medal. However, she was unable to challenge the Chinese duo's remarkable display, with Quan and Chen repeating their gold and silver finishes from the previous Olympics in Tokyo.

China's dominance in diving was further highlighted by this victory in Paris, as the nation aims to achieve a clean sweep of diving gold medals at the ongoing Olympics. Quan Hongchan's total score of 425.60 secured her the top spot on the podium, followed closely by Chen Yuxi with a score of 420.70. Kim Mi-rae rounded out the podium with a score of 372.10, earning her the bronze medal.
