Quality Street releasing bar of favourites for £1 in Asda, Tesco and Co-Op

Christmas and Quality Street chocolates seem to go hand in hand as Nestle bring out their annual tubs in time for the festive season. However, there is a new choc on the shelves that might just see the favourite as an all year round treat.

The confectionery giant has launched its new 'favourites' bars. That's right, just like the selection you get in the tub but much bigger.

Billed as 'sharing bars' - we'll let you make your own mind up about that one - the bars come in two flavours, Orange Crunch and The Purple One. The two bars are slightly different in size, with one coming in at 87g and the Orange Crunch measuring up at 84g.

While we've seen variations on these chocolate favourites before, the oversized 'purple one', for instance, they've not been available in bar form. And the price? Well, searching on price comparison site Trolley.co.uk, stores stocking these sweet treats at £1 include Iceland, Co-op, Wilko, Morrisons, Asda and Tesco. While Sainsbury's customers will have to pay slightly more at £1.25. All stores may not stock both or either depending upon their location.

Chocolate fans that have already tracked down the new bars have already put them on their tick list. One Facebook commenter said: "Oh my god...I'm so happy! I'm obsessed with the orange crunch!!!

Another added: "Both orange and purple are my go to favourites", with a third joining in saying: "The purple one if I had to choose... but I like the sound of both".

While some shoppers welcomed the introduction of the new bars, others called for more choice. "I need a strawberry one!", said one fan, with another agreeing, "yes to this". While someone else added: "I was hoping for the orange cream. It's my favourite! I search the tin for those and eat them first, followed by the strawberry cream!"

Another added: "Would prefer a green triangle bar". "Imagine the green chocolate block - in a chocolate bar,", another person added.

Some old favourites were mentioned too. "Coffee creams, please just bring back some old favs!" And the comments continued: "The orange one…… but I wish they would bring back the blue one!!!! Peanut cracknell…..and the coffee one! I literally don’t buy quality street now because they went missing years ago", said one person. Another agreed with the suggestion: "The peanut cracknell was the best. I agree bring it back!"

Everyone seems to have a favourite Quality Street either past or present. Let us know which you'd pick out of the tin first in the comments box below.
