QPR begin the Michael Beale era away at Blackburn on July 30 as they hope to challenge for Premier League promotion next season.
Rangers raided Aston Villa for Steven Gerrard’s trusted assistant in June, with the former Liverpool and Chelsea coach signing a three-year deal to succeed Mark Warburton, who left Loftus Road following the end of his contract.
Beale will now hope to get QPR quickly contending for a first return to the top-flight since 2015 after an otherwise encouraging last campaign fizzled out badly from a promising top-six push into frustrating mid-table mediocrity.
QPR have been handed a mixed start to the season with Middlesbrough coming to town in the second game, another potential play-off rival, before facing promoted Sunderland and Rotherham and then travelling to Watford before the end of August.
The World Cup in Qatar will see the Championship season go on a break along with the Premier League in November, and QPR travel to Coventry in their final match before that pause.
The first game back, after the group stages are complete on December 10, is at home to Burnley. It’s a trip to Cardiff on Boxing Day before back-to-back home games against Luton and Sheffield United to see out 2022 and welcome in the New Year. QPR finish the season at home to Bristol City on May 6.
