QPR banish Michael Beale Rangers move chat as players told to not look back after manager's exit

QPR have vowed to move on quickly from Michael Beale after the new Rangers manager's departure.

The fans at the Championship club have been left up in arms over the 42-year-old leaving London just six months after being given his first chances as a boss, and six weeks after pledging loyalty following a Wolves approach. Their preparations to return to English second tier action after the World Cup are underway with interim boss Paul Hall taking charge.

They beat David Martindale's Livingston 2-1 on Tuesday and there is little room for dwelling on what might have been with the Rangers boss, instead looking towards the future. Hall told QPR's club media: “For me personally, it was a fantastic experience to take the first team. I asked the boys to show honesty and they did that. We have asked the players to be resilient, and they have been resilient. That’s one of our many values we have at the football club.

"They have shown their resilience today by giving a performance we can be proud of, and by getting on with it. We have to focus on what is in front of us, not what’s behind us.

"They’ve shown some real spirt and have got on with it. They are good players and what I am asking them to do now is show how good they are, and see if they can raise their level even more.

“The players showed some really good stuff in the first half, they moved the ball nicely. I asked them to continue what they have been learning and we want to take that a step further if we can."
