Qld man denies murdering pregnant teen

Photographs indicate Rodney Wayne Williams drove along a highway with a dead pregnant teenager as his passenger, a court has heard.

Williams has pleaded not guilty in Brisbane Supreme Court to murdering 16-year-old Tiffany Taylor after she was last seen leaving a motel south of Brisbane in July 2015.

The Crown alleges Williams and Tiffany arranged to meet after connecting on a dating website.

Williams picked up Tiffany outside the Loganlea motel after telling her he had $400 for 30 minutes of sex before driving to a remote industrial area where he likely killed her, crown prosecutor Caroline Marco said.

He then drove to his "old stomping ground" at Fernvale, 100km northwest of Logan, to dispose of the body, she told the jury on Thursday.

Footage on motorway cameras and phone tracking details on cell towers indicate that Tiffany was in the car with Williams, the court heard.

Tiffany's blood and DNA were also found in Williams' vehicle.

Ms Marco said images from toll booths indicated Williams with a passenger in his Hyundai sedan, highlighting one at Heathwood entering the Ipswich motorway.

She said while it was not the most clear image it showed a person slumped on a reclined passenger seat - a person the prosecutor claimed was a dead Tiffany.

"As audacious as it might sound that a person would put a deceased person in the front seat of the car remember that his journey was along a motorway ... and at high speed and if she was slumped in the seat passing motorists may think ... she was asleep," Ms Marco told the jury.

Tiffany had been demanding and persistent about payment with other men and would have been irate when she found out Williams did not have the cash after they parked at the industrial area, she said.

The court has heard police have evidence showing Williams' vehicle was parked for 22 minutes.

"That (no cash) was likely to have resulted in an altercation between them," Ms Marco said.

"There was more than ample time for Mr Williams to intentionally kill the young, small and petitely framed Ms Taylor at that location."

Williams is accused of creating a false trail of communication with Tiffany on the dating website afterwards, with his last message reading: "Sorry I didn't turn up, decided I wasn't going to pay for it".

He was intercepted by officers at a Brisbane train station with a bag of clothes and sentimental items in August 2015, a day before he was supposed to be interviewed by police, Ms Marco said.

Williams then told police a "litany of lies".

In the interview Williams tells police he dropped Tiffany off at Redbank and went home, later conceding that they parked at the industrial area but were only "talking".

Williams said he dropped off Tiffany at a truck stop off the Warrego Highway.

He also claimed Tiffany had a bleeding nose, saying that was why her blood was in his car.

"Mr Williams has lied and lied to the police about so many things ... you will find it extremely difficult to believe ... anything that he says," Ms Marco told the jury.

The trial before Justice Peter Applegarth continues.
