Talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump may take place by the end of February but could happen later, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
Peskov mentioned that there may or may not be a meeting of the two presidents by the end of February. He emphasized that the discussions are aimed at reviving and improving bilateral relations, which were intentionally damaged by the previous US administration and are currently in a poor state.

During Tuesday's talks in Riyadh, Peskov stated that the negotiation process with the US showed positive progress, but he highlighted that there is still much work to be done. He expressed cautious optimism, stating that it is premature to make definitive conclusions, despite the positive atmosphere and productive discussions.
Regarding the timing of a ceasefire and negotiations in Ukraine in relation to the presidential elections, Peskov mentioned that no decisions on this matter can be made in Moscow or Washington. He indicated that there have been discussions on the topic, but they have not progressed beyond exchanging opinions. The elections in Ukraine are currently postponed due to martial law.
