Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has expressed optimism about the potential impact of the anticipated ceasefire in Gaza. Putin stated that the ceasefire could lead to a significant increase in the delivery of essential supplies such as food, fuel, and medicine to the territory. This, he believes, will help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and contribute to its long-term stabilization.
Putin made these comments during a press conference held with Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian. The two leaders discussed the recent developments in Gaza following Israel’s offensive and signed a major economic and defensive partnership agreement. Both Russia and Iran have seen a decrease in their influence in the Middle East due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

Pezeshkian echoed Putin’s sentiments, expressing hope that the ceasefire would be fully implemented. He emphasized the importance of achieving a definitive ceasefire in Gaza and putting an end to the aggressions against the region.
