A retail and a leisure park on the outskirts of Bristol will be home to a new gym from the end of March. Located at Riverside Retail Park in Yate, the new 10,000 sq ft PureGym will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
It will have a 'functional zone', free weights area and a fitness studio. with more than 220 pieces of fitness equipment, including fixed resistance, cardio equipment and dumbbells up to 50kg.
The opening will create nine new jobs, and roles currently advertised include gym instructor and personnel trainer. PureGym offers its own Personal Training Academy, a 14-week programme that allows participants to gain certification and guarantees an interview for a job upon completion.

A PureGym spokesperson said: “The new gym will be a fantastic facility for the people of Yate and the local communities, providing flexible, affordable access to PureGym’s state-of-the-art fitness facilities at a time when mental and physical wellbeing has never been more important."
The new gym will be open from noon on March 31 and is located on Link Road, close to TK Maxx.
