Puppy with one bright blue eye hopes someone will fall in love with his striking look

A beautiful puppy with two different coloured eyes is looking for someone special to scoop him up and take him home.

Theros has heterochromia, which means a lack of melanin causes one of his eyes to appear bright blue and the other dark brown.

It doesn't affect his visibility and makes him stand out from the rest of the pack - but his shy personality has meant he's struggled to find a family.

Theros was picked up off the streets of Greece by Wild At Heart Foundation last June and the charity have been searching for a perfect match ever since.

Jenni Musson at Wild At Heart Foundation said: "Theros, with his striking good looks and charm, attracted lots of interest when he was a tiny puppy, but since he has grown in size, his applications have plummeted.

"He turns one next month and it would be amazing if he could celebrate it in his forever home.

"Theros needs a rural setting in a quiet home and a canine friend... but otherwise, he really doesn't ask for much more."

In September 2021, Theros was adopted to a UK home, but found moving countries and the sudden change in environments scary, which meant he couldn't settle in properly.

The tough decision was made to rehome him and Theros is now safely living in a foster home in York with other dogs, cats and a nine-year-old boy - who is very much his favourite human to date.

Now he's a bigger puppy people don't want to adopt him (Wild At Heart Foundation)

Theros' personality wins lots of people over and his stunning eyes attract lots of attention.

However, he is nervous by nature and his future family will need to understand this, and give him the time, patience, love and protection he needs from things he fears.

Theros is looking for a home that can offer him a stable and quiet routine in a rural setting with a large, secure garden.

He may not be a dog that would settle in a busy household, or join you at the pub, but he does show loyalty and would make the most wonderful addition to a family.

Wild At Heart Foundation are hoping to find him a home with existing pet dogs, and he could live alongside cats.
