Punter bottled in Dundee nightclub taken to hospital with head injury

Police in Dundee are investigating a bottle attack in a city nightclub.

The incident happened in the hugely popular Club Tropicana at the end of last month.

The 21-year-old male victim was struck on the head by a bottle and needed hospital treatment for a nasty injury.

He was on the club’s third floor dancefloor at about 2am on Saturday 26th February when the bottle was thrown.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses after a 21-year-old man was injured after a bottle was thrown on to a dancefloor within a nightclub in Dundee.

“The incident happened within Club Tropicana nightclub on South Ward Road within the city around 2am on Saturday, 26 February, 2022.

“The victim had been on the third floor dancefloor when the bottle was thrown.

“The victim suffered a head injury and was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.”
