Leeds United finish the calendar year of 2022 with a tough away trip to high-flying Newcastle United. The Whites sit 15th in the table and have lost their last matches either side of the World Cup break, so will be looking to bring that run to an end on New Year's Eve.
They could not have asked for a much more difficult game, though, with Newcastle currently third in the table with 10 wins from their last 11 matches in all competitions. The Magpies are also unbeaten on home soil so far this term and so Leeds will need to be at their best to get a result.
FiveThirtyEight - a website which uses statistical data to predict the outcome of matches - has Newcastle as overwhelming favourites with a 66% chance of winning, in comparison to just 15% for Leeds. Pundits have also been giving their verdict on the match and we have rounded them up for you.

Chris Sutton - BBC Sport
Chris Sutton of BBC Sport is backing this one to go with the form book. He said: "Leeds found it tough going against Manchester City on Wednesday and this is another difficult game for them because Newcastle are playing with so much confidence at the moment.
We know Leeds will give it everything but Newcastle are solid at the back and they have got plenty of goals in them too."
Prediction: Newcastle 2-0 Leeds
Mark Lawrenson - Paddy Power
Mark Lawrenson is predicting the same result, with the same scoreline in his latest Paddy Power predictions. He said: "Leeds were really competitive against City. They were always under the pump but if they had got to half-time at 0-0 then who knows what might have happened.
"Newcastle just keep going and they’ve still only lost once this season. Pretty much everyone’s fit and they’re really firing."
Prediction: Newcastle 2-0 Leeds
Jeff Stelling - Sky Sports Super 6
To make it a full house, Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling is also backing Leeds to leave the Northeast empty-handed.
Prediction: Newcastle 2-1 Leeds
