Sunderland put in an 'embarassing performance' against Bolton Wanderers who were themselves 'sensational' in the rout of the Black Cats.
That's the view of former West Ham United striker Dean Ashton and EFL pundit Ali Maxwell.
Dion Charles put Wanderers ahead before Dapo Afolayan added a second before half-time.

Charles bagged his second after the break before Kieran Lee added a fourth as Wanderers blitzed the Black Cats.
Danny Batth put through his own net to add a fifth for the hosts before Declan John rounded off the win with a sublime sixth goal as a rampant Wanderers made it three victories on the bounce.
Speaking on the EFL highlights show on Quest, Maxwell gave a chronology of the encounter as it panned out and was effusive in his praise of Wanderers and how they comprehensively dismantled the Black Cats.
He said: “It was a fairly quiet 15 minutes or so until a wind assisted opener. A feel a little bit sorry for (Thorben) Hoffmann here because the trajectory of the ball is unusual but still he finds himself in no man’s land.
"Dion Charles was lively all afternoon and got things started. From that point on, Bolton were purring and Sunderland completely folded. Charles had another, the confidence was flowing and the fourth was probably my favourite goal, finished off by Kieran Lee who was sensational today and kept making runs into the box, creating and having chances for himself.
“The sixth one summed it up, a euphoric day at the UniBol, Declan John smashing it into the ground and it looped into the corner - sensational for them."
Ashton waded in on the debacle from Sunderland's perspective and expressed worry at the manner of how Lee Johnson's side 'capitulated', which has not been the first time this has happened this campaign as Wanderers scored six times from seven shots on target.
He said: “They have (been a horror show at times) when they lose away, they do it properly, that’s for sure.
"That would be a massive worry for me and the manager should be worried that if when you go down a couple of goals that you completely capitulate and that mentality is about each other pulling each other together and being hard to beat and he was very apologetic, Lee Johnson, after the game and rightly so because it was an embarrassing performance.”
