Everton boss Frank Lampard can help talented youngsters such as Anthony Gordon and Nathan Patterson with their development, according to Paul Robinson.
The former Chelsea manager played a pivotal role in the emergence of Reece James and Mason Mount whilst he was in the Stamford Bridge hotseat, and both players are now mainstays of Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Lampard was appointed Toffees boss on Monday and his immediate goal will be to keep the club in the Premier League.
However, Robinson believes the 43-year-old can also help Everton’s young players take their game to the next level, just as he did at Chelsea and Derby County.

“If there is one thing Frank was praised for at Chelsea and Derby it was developing youngsters,” Robinson told Football Insider .
“He was hugely credited for that.
“He has great development skills and will nurture the talent.
“Patterson and Gordon are two players who stand out. You only have to look at what Frank did with Reece James and Mason Mount. I expect both players to come on leaps and bounds under his stewardship. They can be the next James and Mount.
“Frank received a fair bit of criticism for the job he did at Chelsea but I think it was underestimated. He had his hands tied behind his back. I think he did extremely well.”
Patterson, 20, joined the club from Scottish champions Rangers in the January transfer window but is yet to make his debut.
Meanwhile, Gordon, who is also 20, is an academy graduate and has played 39 times for the Blues, scoring twice.
