Punches were thrown and unsavoury scenes unfolded when a Welsh rugby match erupted into a mass brawl on Friday night.
Nelson 2nds were hosting Beddau Chuckles last Friday, February 3, when the fight broke out soon after a lineout throw.
But as the ball is passed away from a ruck, a number of players remain engaged in an off-the-ball incident which ultimately sparks the melee. Once the disturbance appears to have calmed, it resumes just a few moments later as players appear to be making their way back to resume play.
The referee's whistle can be heard throughout the two-minute clip. The final score recorded was 24-7 to Beddau.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Rugby Union said: "The WRU, in line with its disciplinary regulations, is investigating apparent code of conduct breaches which occurred at a second team fixture this weekend featuring Nelson and Beddau rugby clubs."
Beddau RFC and Nelson RFC have been contacted for comment.
