Rio Ferdinand says Harry Kane must feel 'sick' when watching Erling Haaland score for Manchester City. The Tottenham striker could have joined City last summer and it's believed he was keen for a fresh challenge.
However, Tottenham had no intention of selling their talisman. He showed the love he has for Spurs by staying at the club as his goals helped fire the Lilywhites to a top four finish.
City didn't sign a striker that summer and instead waited 12 months for Erling Haaland to become available - meeting his £51 million release clause to bring him in from Borussia Dortmund. The Norwegian was worth the wait for City, as he has scored 20 goals in just 12 appearances since joining the club.

Kane has also had an impressive start to the season with Spurs, scoring eight goals in nine Premier League appearances, but his numbers don't compare to Haaland.
Former United defender Ferdinand says Kane must 'puke in his own mouth' when he watches the City striker scoring for his new club. Ultimately, that could have been Kane, but the England international stayed put in north London
"Kane's a goal scorer, he's a killer, he's as cold as you get. In any era he scores goals," Ferdinand told FIVE.
"I think he would've been brilliant at City. If I'm him, I'm absolutely puking up in my own mouth and trying not to swallow it when I'm watching Haaland now. I'm thinking 'that could have been me', 'that could have been me'.
"That [last summer] was a moment for Harry Kane to go 'what I've done at Tottenham can never be discredited, it's been my home and a place I love'. Nobody would have been disgruntled at him going to City.
"It was there for the taking. I don't know how it didn't happen from all parties. He must be so sick.
"Kane could end up winning a trophy this season, but look at what City are doing right now. Haaland is just eating people and he could have been the guy on the end of all of those chances. It's mad."
