No rookie in Los Angeles Rams history has ever had more receiving yards in a season than Puka Nacua. He caught a 12-yard pass on the Rams’ opening drive against the Browns on Sunday, giving him 936 yards receiving on the year.
That’s the most in a single season by a rookie receiver in franchise history, passing Eddie Kennison, who had 924 yards back in 1996. Amazingly, Nacua still has five-plus games remaining, so he’s easily going to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark and increase his own record.
It’s been a dream season for Nacua to start his career, coming into Week 13 with 73 receptions and an average of 84 yards per game. He won’t touch Cooper Kupp’s single-season record set back in 2021 when he had 1,947 yards, but Nacua has done everything right in his rookie year thus far.
THERE IT IS!
