Former President Carter's funeral events have provided several opportunities for the public to participate in honoring his legacy. Starting on Saturday, visitors were able to pay their respects as he lay in repose at the Carter Presidential Center in Georgia. The Carter Center has been keeping the public informed by providing a schedule of memorial services and offering a live stream on their website for those unable to attend in person.
The repose for Carter concluded at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library in Atlanta on Tuesday morning, followed by a departure ceremony as he is transported to the airport. Members of the public have been able to witness the family motorcade processions in both Georgia and Washington D.C., showing their support and respect for the former president.

Later on Tuesday afternoon, the former president will be transported from Georgia to D.C., with the public invited to watch the motorcade as it makes its way to the Capitol building. The opportunity to pay respects will continue as Carter lies in state at the U.S. Capitol, open to all members of the public who wish to honor his memory.
