Public asked to convey sighting of moon

The office of the quazi of Kozhikode has requested the public to inform the authorities concerned if they witness the moon on Saturday, indicating the beginning of the month of Ramadan.

The information can be passed on to quazis Syed Jiffry Muthukkoya Thangal, president of Samastha Kerala Pamyathul Ulama, Panakkad Syed Sadik Ali Shihab Thangal (9447173443), K. Alikkutty Musaliar, general secretary of Samastha (9447630238), Syed Muhammed Koya Thangal Jamalullaili (9447172149/9406154149) or Syed Nasar Hayy Shihab Thangal (9447405099), a press release said.
