A miserable tourist left a popular pub a savage Tripadvisor review as they 'did not like' the group that was sitting at the table next to them.
The customer left scathing feedback and a one-star review following their "underwhelming" visit, to a famous Edinburgh bar, report Edinburgh Live.
After visiting the Cold Town House, in the capital city of Scotland, the visitor took to share their thoughts of the joint.
Despite the bar being popular among tourists and locals - boasting an average rating of 4/5 on TripAdvisor based on 446 reviews - the customer claims they were left feeling "meh" after having a meal and drink there.
They stated they were unhappy they were not given a "terrace table" despite making a reservation "weeks in advance".
In full, the review on the site reads: "Reservation made weeks in advance for family of 5 for 7. Was hoping for terrace table, but upon arrival was told no seating available.
"We were sat next to a rowdy bunch of youngsters. Asked for a new table, and very quickly accommodated. Food was underwhelming. Drinks meh."
It continued: "After dinner we went up to terrace, and plenty of seating available. Would not return unless able to reserve table on terrace. Terrace was REALLY cool, awesome view of castle. Overall, C+."
Since being posted, the Cold Town House has gone on to apologise to the customer.
They issued a response to the view, stating that they were "really sorry" the customer left unhappy.
They wrote: "We're really sorry to hear we missed the mark with your recent visit.
"The roof terrace is an extremely popular spot and although we try to accommodate every guest unfortunately when you visited on the Saturday evening it was fully booked and there wasn't a spot free we could move you up to.
"Thank you for your feedback on our food and drinks, again we are really sorry you didn't enjoy them but your comments are really valuable to help us strive for the standards we aim to achieve for every visit."
While this one customer was left feeling dissatisfied, this popular bar is well known for its "excellent food" and "great cocktails"
It has plenty of positive reviews on TripAdvisor, praising the Cold Town House for its rooftop terrace and service.
One review reads: "Nice wee bar/restaurant and reasonably priced too. Very Instagramable. Would definitely recommend the pizzas and the loaded fries!"
And a second states: "Thank you to the Cold Town House team for last night's informal and enjoyable evening. Always great to be speaking to the experts and hearing their insights into the art of beer making."
