ANDRE RAMALHO insists PSV Eindhoven deserve a group stage spot as they bid to end their years of Champions League hurt against Rangers.
The Dutch giants have the upper hand in the play-off round tie after securing a 2-2 draw at Ibrox thanks to goals from Ibrahim Sangare and Armando Obispo.
Ruud van Nistelrooy's side, who were winners over Monaco in the last round, now have the chance to finish the job on home soil and join the biggest names in the European game.
And Ramalho is confident PSV have what it takes to see off Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side as Rangers aim to upset the odds and clinch a group berth for the first time in more than a decade.
Ramalho said: “I know we are going to score goals. But you have to remember, Rangers have quality.
“We are not playing any other club. But we know what we need to do. It’s work for the whole team.
“Everyone thinks because we are not losing a lot of goals, it’s because of the back line.
“It’s not, it’s because of the whole team. Everyone can play at a really high level.
“Likewise, if we score goals it’s not just about the strikers, it’s about the whole team.
“I have more experience and I try to bring that on the pitch.
“I have to show, especially in the hard moments, that I am here to help the team.
“For everyone, reaching the Champions League is the biggest thing you can achieve as a team.
“We know the history of PSV and this club belongs in the Champions League.
“The club deserves it and I think we deserve it too. I think it has been three years we haven’t been in the Champions League so we want to make it. We are going to give everything to get there.
“There is tension, but a good tension. The kind of tension you need for these big games.
“It’s fine margins and it’s all in the fine details. We need the tension and the extra focus. You can feel how much we want it.”
