PSV 'reveal their asking price' for Cody Gakpo and more Manchester United transfer rumours

PSV Eindhoven have reportedly set an asking price of at least €45million for their star winger Cody Gakpo amid interest from Manchester United and several other Premier League sides.

According to Football Transfers, any interested party will have to pay €45m if they want to sign the Dutchman, with the 23-year-old attracting interest from a number of clubs. Gakpo was linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window and admitted that he expected to join United.

Gakpo has been in electric form so far this season, scoring 10 times in 13 games in all competitions, including eight goals in seven games in the Eredivisie.

It remains to be seen if the Reds will make a move for the PSV man in January or next summer, but if he continues to perform like he has so far this season, it certainly would not be a surprise if they did.

Elsewhere, ESPN are reporting that United have not given up hope of signing Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona and plan to return to the table with a fresh bid next summer.

The Reds chased De Jong throughout the summer transfer window, but a move failed to materialise. Although Erik ten Hag signed Casemiro from Real Madrid, United are still thought to be keen on recruiting another midfielder.

ESPN also state that the Reds want to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham next year as part of a midfield overhaul.
