PSV Eindhoven have pleaded with Liverpool to 'take care' of Cody Gakpo as they bid an emotional farewell to their talented forward.
Gakpo joined the Dutch top-flight side in 2007, progressing through the club's various youth categories before making his first-team debut in February 2018.
Since emerging as an attacking option, the 23-year-old has experienced rapid progression to become a prolific finisher within the final third.

During the current campaign, Gakpo has scored 13 goals and provided 17 assists in just 24 appearances and was a central figure in the PSV team currently challenging for the Eredivisie title against Feyenoord and Ajax.
Liverpool announced the arrival of the Dutch international on Wednesday evening as Jurgen Klopp's side bolster their attacking options, at a time when both Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are sidelined through injury. While this news comes as a major boost for the Reds, it will no doubt leave PSV supporters sad to see one of their own depart.
Appointed vice-captain by PSV at the start of last season, Gakpo was highly thought of at the club despite his young age and claimed four major honours after making his first-team breakthrough almost five years ago.
Taking to Twitter to thank the Reds' new recruit for his contributions, his former employers wrote: "Born in Eindhoven. Made in Eindhoven. Became a star in Eindhoven. Cody Gakpo, #ForeverEindhovenaar. Take care of him, @LFC."
