PSV Eindhoven have reportedly been given a helping hand with their preparations for their upcoming Champions League showdown with Rangers.
The Dutch side will meet the Ibrox club at the play-off stage of qualifying for the second successive season later this month.
And just like last August, it seems the Eredivisie outfit will be allowed extra time to get ready for the decisive second leg of their clash.
PSV's domestic fixture sandwiched in between the first and second-leg ties against Rangers has been postponed.
The Daily Record states the Dutch FA have made the move in an attempt to give the club the best possible chance to prepare to ensure qualification for the group stages of UEFA's elite competition.
Go Ahead Eagles were due at the Philips Stadium on Saturday, August 26 just days after the first leg and days prior to the return.
However, it's said that the game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 27 by the KNVB.
It means that Peter Bosz will have eight days between either leg of the Champions League tie.
The first leg will be played at Ibrox next Tuesday. They travel to Vitesse Arnhem this weekend prior to this, while Rangers host Morton in the League Cup.
Michael Beale and his players face a long trip up north to take on Ross County a week on Saturday. The game will kick-off at 12.30pm.
At the exact same stage last season, PSV's game against Volendam was postponed, while Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his players travelled to Easter Road. That match finished 2-2.
In the end, it mattered little though, as Antonio Colak's second-leg goal saw the Light Blues progress to the groups for the first time in 12 years.
