A PSNI officer appeared in court on Monday on a sexual misconduct charge after he is alleged to have had a sexual relationship with a vulnerable woman while on duty.
Timothy Hampton, whose age was unspecified and whose address was given as Enniskillen police station, appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court to hear the charges against him.
It is alleged he had a sexual relationship with the woman while on duty as a police officer.
He faces two charges of misconduct in a public office, including the sexual misconduct charge as well as failing to notify police of a false report by a member of the public, and encouraging a member of the public to make a false report to police.
Hampton faces a further charge of unauthorised access to computer material.
The alleged misconduct offences relate to incidents that took place between June and September 2021.
When asked in court whether he would like to make any statement in his defence, Hampton said: ‘Not at this time’.
He was released on bail and will now appear at Dungannon Crown Court later this month.
