PSNI arrest six people in connection with suspected £60,000 class B drugs haul

Six people have been arrested in connection with a suspected class B drugs haul thought to be worth around £60,000. PSNI confirmed this evening (Friday May 12) that five men and one woman were arrested in relation to the discovery in Belfast.

Police did not disclose where in Belfast the drugs were found. Detective Inspector Kelly said that drug dealing funds gang-related crimes and their actions make the lives of families a misery.

DI Kelly added: "We are determined to investigate the supply of controlled drugs by organised criminal gangs and remove them from our community. The sale of drugs funds gang related criminality and their activities create misery for families and exploits vulnerable persons.

"Anyone with information relating to the illegal supply of drugs in the community should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Crimestoppers is an independent charity which is 100% anonymous and gives the people the power to speak up and stop crime."
