PSNI appeal after £30,000 damage caused to boardwalk in 'intentional fire'

A boardwalk in Co Fermanagh has suffered £30,000 of damage by what police believe to be an ‘intentional’ forest fire.

Fire damage was caused to large parts of Jenkins Forest near Brookeborough on Monday afternoon. Police say the equivalent of the area of four football pitches was damaged during the arson.

The boardwalk in the area has been recently installed and is made from recycled plastic. The PSNI have appealed for anyone who may have been in the area at the time to get in touch.
