PSG XI vs Real Madrid: Mbappe starts - Starting lineup, confirmed team news, latest for Champions League today

Paris Saint-Germain have Kylian Mbappe fit and available for their key Champions League showdown against Real Madrid tonight.

Mbappe sustained an injury in training on Monday when Idrissa Gueye stood on his foot during a drill and there were initially fears that PSG would be without the 23-year-old for the second leg of their last-16 tie at the Bernabeu.

But an MRI revealed no fracture and Mbappe was named in the travelling party heading to Madrid. Mauricio Pochettino provided a positive update on the injury when addressing the media on Tuesday evening.

“We talked, he’s fine,” the manager confirmed. “At the time, he was crying out and he was in pain. But he could walk easily two hours later. I hope he can train well after the press conference.”

Mbappe did indeed train without issue and is fit to start, alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar as Pochettino has his star trio available.

PSG hold a one-goal lead from the first leg of their last-16 tie, thanks to a late Mbappe strike at the Parc des Princes last month.

Sergio Ramos misses out while the former Madrid captain battles a calf injury, as does Layvin Kurzawa.

A number of stars were rested for the game in Nice and Gianluigi Donnarumma leads the list of players returning to the starting lineup. Achraf Hakimi and Leandro Paredes are both once again available and are also in from the off.

PSG XI: Donnarumma, Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Mendes, Paredes, Pereira, Verratti, Messi, Mbappe, Neymar

Subs: Michut, Simons, Navas, Icardi, Di Maria, Dagba, Wijnaldum, Diallo, Draxler, Kehrer, Gueye, Ebimbe.
