It’s advantage Liverpool in the huge Champions League last-16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain. The Reds were resilient and they relied on goalkeeper Alisson Becker as he kept them in the game with a series of stunning saves to keep a clean sheet on a memorable night for the visitors.
The Reds were saved by an offside call to avoid going behind as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia saw his effort ruled out before Ibrahima Konate survived a VAR check for a potential red card following a foul on Bradley Barcola.
Harvey Elliott came up with the all important goal in the 87th minute, scoring with his very first touch after replacing Mohamed Salah to break PSG hearts and ensure Liverpool will take a one-goal lead back to Anfield for the second leg at Anfield next week.
