Paris Saint-Germain remain hopeful of retaining Kylian Mbappe and are reportedly willing to make him the highest-paid member of their squad, surpassing Lionel Messi's salary.
Mbappe is out of contract at the end of the season and is free to negotiate with potential suitors. It's believed Real Madrid are leading the race for his signature.
The Spanish giants are thought to have offered the striker a five-year deal worth £200million, which will see him pocket around £770,000-a-week.
Mbappe is believed to earn €25m per year at PSG, with only Messi (€41m/£34.7m) and Neymar (€36.8m/£31.1m) currently taking home more at the French outfit.
Although Real remain in pole position to sign the Frenchman, he is said to be still in discussions with his current employers and is yet to make up his mind.

And, according to RMC Sport via Get French Football News, PSG will make him their highest-paid player by offering him an astronomical "short-term" deal.
Mbappe will not make any announcement on his future until after PSG's Champions League tie against Real, with the first leg taking place in Paris on Tuesday, February 15.
PSG have never lifted the European Cup - losing the final to Bayern Munich two seasons ago - and Mbappe is keen to help them secure a maiden triumph this term.
"No, no, I haven’t made my decision," said the World Cup winner in his most recent interview. "I think playing against Real Madrid changes a lot of things.
"Even if right now I’m free to do what I want, I’m not going to go speak to the opponent or do that kind of thing.
"I’m concentrated on beating Real Madrid and making the difference, after that we’ll see what happens."
Mbappe is one of the best young players in Europe, scoring 89 goals in 101 league appearances for PSG since joining the club from Monaco in the summer of 2017.
He's won four Ligue 1 titles and five domestic cups during his career, yet the Champions League continues to elude him.
Mbappe already has 53 senior caps at international level - finding the back of the net 24 times - and is likely to be part of France's team for years to come.
Discussing PSG's European hopes with CNN in December, Mbappe said: "I will give everything I have to win the Champions League, the league and the cup.
"And to give all the pleasure to the fans, because they deserve it."

He went on to say: "We have to be ready [for the Champions League]. It's time. It's the most important part of the season. Of course, we want to step up now.
"It's been two years [since] we do final, semi-final, but now we want to win."
On playing for PSG, Mbappe added: "Paris is my city, it's where I was born, it's where I grew up. To play for PSG, it's an amazing feeling... with your family and friends alongside of you."
