Chelsea have reportedly turned their attentions to Presnel Kimpembe this summer, with Nathan Ake now looking likely to remain at Manchester City.
Thomas Tuchel is looking to rebuild his defensive line following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, with Kimpembe emerging as a target for the Blues. However, the France defender is an important figure in Paris club having grown up at the club.
Chelsea are now reported in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over Kimpembe, following the collapse of talks for Ake and the 26-year-old could well be the second defensive signing of the summer after the arrival of Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.

It is being reported by Fabrizio Romano that negotiations are ongoing between Chelsea and the French champions, but with a player of his quality it is likely that they will be keen to hold on to their star, one of the few academy graduates at the club in recent years.
The club's recently appointed manager Christophe Galtier has been asked about a potential move for his player ahead of next season and explained that he had spoken to him about a potential move away, saying this he doesn't know what the star's future has in store.
He told L'Equipe: "I've read everything been said about Kimpembe. We even laughed about it together. I like him - he's great centre back but what will happen, I don't know."
The centre-back has two years remaining on his contract in Paris, meaning that now would be the perfect time for a sale to take place. One factor which could persuade the World Cup winner to West London would be the pursuit of Jules Kounde, with his fellow French international also linked to the club. But the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly could fill the left-sided centre-back role and mean that Chelsea will not pursue the player.
