PSG 'considering move' for Cristiano Ronaldo and other Manchester United transfer rumours

Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move for Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.

The Ligue 1 outfit are said to be looking into offering the 37-year-old an 'escape route' from Old Trafford. Ronaldo has been lambasted by pundits for United's failures this season as they continue to struggle to secure a place in next season's Champions League.

The Mirror report that the French giants are contemplating offering a 12-month deal to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, a sensational move that could see him link up with Lionel Messi.

With Kylian Mbappe potentially on his way to Real Madrid in the summer, PSG are resigned to losing one of their prized assets and Ronaldo is viewed as a short-term replacement.

Meanwhile, recent reports suggest Jesse Lingard will turn down an approach from Tottenham.

Lingard, who is out of contract in the summer, was tipped to leave United in the January transfer window but saw his move blocked.

Football.London report that the United academy graduate is looking to move abroad and so will reject any advances from Spurs.

Newcastle were strongly linked with Lingard last month as they looked to strengthen their ranks.

For the moment, it remains to be seen who will snap Lingard up when his contract expires.
