The free PS Plus Extra and Premium games for June 2023 are out now, and include over 20 new games for subscribers to dig into this month.
The relaunch of PS Plus celebrates its first birthday this month, and fittingly, Sony has prepared a bumper month of new titles, which are now available for subscribers. Headlining this month is Ubisoft's open world shooter Far Cry 6, which stars Breaking Bad's Gus Fring himself, Giancarlo Esposito, as the main antagonist and ruthless dictator 'El Presidente' Antón Castillo. It's very much a Far Cry game (sticking to the formula established in 2012's Far Cry 3) which should tell you all you need to know about whether you like it or not.
Also included is indie darling A Hat In Time which takes cues from Nintendo 64-era platforming collect-athons like Spyro the Dragon, Banjo Kazooie and Super Mario 64. That being said, it's not a simple clone of those games, going in some wild directions. It even has a DLC expansion inspired by the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series called Nyakuza Metro.

Personally I would recommend checking out Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, as it's one of the best throwback Beat 'Em Up's to arrive in recent memory. You also can't go wrong with Inscryption, but the less said about that the better; let's just say it's a wild ride.
