Sony has officially released the PS Plus Essentials July 2023 free games, with one of the best Call of Duty titles now free-to-play.
The PS Plus July 2023 Essentials free games were confirmed last week, following a leak prior to the official announcement, with Alan Wake Remastered (which we predicted to be part of the lineup), Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Endling: Extinction is Forever now available for PlayStation Plus subscribers. All three games are now available to download on PS4 and PS5.

The PS Plus July 2023 Essentials free games are now available to download having been released at 10am BST / 2am PDT / 5am EDT, with PS Plus subscribers with either a PS4 or PS5 able to download all three PS Plus Essentials July 2023 free games. The PS Plus July 2023 Essentials lineup will be available until Tuesday, August 1, because at this point the PS Plus Essential August 2023 games will become available to download.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War was the first Call of Duty title to hit current gen consoles in 2020, and is the follow up to Call Of Duty: Black Ops, with Black Ops 2 being it's successor. PS Plus subscribers can also download Alan Wake Remastered, which is good timing for Alan Wake fans ahead of the release of Alan Wake 2 later this year. Indie survival-adventure title Endling: Extinction is Forever is the final game from the PS Plus Essentials July 2023 free games lineup, which was only given it's full release last July.
