The Eurovision Song Contest provisional timeline is a rough estimate of key events for 2023 as the prestigious event comes to Liverpool in May.
Eurovision national selections are slowly starting to announce their acts ahead of the competition in the city. Several events have been announced for the city including a cultural festival to act as a platform for showcasing modern Ukraine as the ambitious, progressive country it is.
There are still a lot of questions we don't know the answer to including who the presenters will be, when the tickets go on sale and what the stage will look like and sadly, that information is still quite some time away.

Though nothing is ever set in stone, if we look at previous contests, we can deduce an estimated time to expect certain announcements. Here is our provisional timeline of key information for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
January
Insignia Handover: A representative from Turin will fly to Liverpool to officially ‘handover’ the event.
Semi-final allocation: During the handover event, the acts will discover in which semi-final they will perform.
Slogan and theme are announced.
February
Eurovision presenters will be announced.
March
Tickets are likely to go on sale.
Delegation meetings: Broadcasters from across Europe meet to discuss issues and problems ahead of the show with the BBC.
All acts should be announced.
April
Eurovision village begins construction.
Village programme announced.
The Eurovision stage begins construction.
Acts from across Europe arrive in Liverpool.
Rehearsals.
Interval and opening acts announced.
May
Eurovision village kicks off.
7th: Opening ceremony and red carpet.
Eurovision week officially kicks off.
8th: Jury rehearsals.
9th: Family rehearsals.
The Eurovision Song Contest's first live semi-final.
10th: Jury rehearsals.
11th: Family rehearsals.
The Eurovision Song Contest's second live semi-final.
12th: Jury rehearsals.
13th: Family rehearsals.
