The Daily Record reports that the kittens, two boys and a girl ,were born at the park last year.

Following from previous tradition the kittens were named after Scottish islands; Barra, Rum and Rona.

Previous kittens born at the park have been named Harris, Arran and Jura.

These particular wildcats are extremely rare, 50 times rarer than the giant panda.

Only an estimated 35 remain in the wild due to threat from destruction of their natural habitat and local unneutered cats breeding with them.

Local zoos like Five Sisters are aiming to repopulate the Scottish species to avoid extinction. So far the zoo is proving successful with their litters.

While the zoo is small it is very popular and often busy with people viewing the selection of over 180 different species of mammals, birds and reptiles from around the world.

The rare kittens do have fans who took to Facebook to wish them a happy birthday.
