'Proud' Nicolas Raskin not only earned the trust of Rangers manager Philippe Clement by being handed the captaincy for the Old Firm clash against Celtic, but he was on the winning side too.
The Belgian midfielder, standing in for the injured James Tavernier, produced an inspiring performance as Rangers were worthy 3-0 winners at Ibrox.
"First of all, I am so proud that I have been able to be captain today," the jubilant 23-year-old told Sky Sports.
"But I'm even prouder about the performance, the three goals, and I'm just happy now. I'm happy for the fans because they deserved it, I'm happy for us because we also deserved the win, so it's just a good afternoon."

On his approach to wearing the armband, Raskin continued: "To be fair, I've learned a lot watching Tav [James Tavernier] since I came here. I was just going to be myself and do the things good.
"I knew as a team we were ready for the game, and we showed it."
